NA delegation attends working session in Malaysia
The delegation landed in Malaysia prior to attending the Asian Parliamentary Conference, taking place in Indonesia .
During the session, Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu briefed the Vietnamese representative agencies in Malaysia about the country’s current situation, as well as the results of the National Assembly’s recent session on the setting of socio-economic targets for 2009 and 80 draft laws, including a bill governing overseas representative agencies.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia Hoang Trong Lap reported to the NA Vice Chairman operations undertaken by the Embassy and other representative agencies in Malaysia , which aimed at boosting the traditional relations between the two countries.
Malaysia ’s economy has shone recently and is a neighbouring country that Vietnam could learn from, he said.
Malaysia ’s investment in Vietnam during the first ten months of this year hit 14.8 billion USD and currently Malaysia is focused on the disbursement of investment projects in Vietnam .
The Ambassador said that Malaysia appreciates the attitudes of Vietnamese workers and asked the Government to restructure businesses involved in recruiting workers for foreign countries in order to engender trust from employers.-Enditem
