Prime Minister receives outgoing Myanmar ambassador
PM Dung also spoke highly of the ambassador’s contributions to boosting political, diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries during his working tenure in Vietnam .
At the reception, the Government leader reiterated Vietnam ’s consistent policy of strengthening its cooperation with Myanmar and contributing to transforming ASEAN into a bloc of peace, friendship and development.
He also said he hoped that the Myanmar diplomat would continue to play a role in promoting cooperation between Vietnam and Myanmar in the future, no matter what position he took up next.
Ambassador Aung Thein spoke of the deep and lasting impression that Vietnam ’s landscape and people had made upon him during his time in the country and said that he would do his best to enhance ties between the two ASEAN countries in the future.
