Vietnamese ambassador to Angola submits credentials

Vietnam’s ambassador to Angola, Pham Tien Nhien, presented his credentials to the country’s President Jose Eduardo Dos Santos, on Feb. 19.

President Dos Santos spoke highly of Vietnam’s achievements during its past struggle for independence and praised the Asian nation’s current socio-economic development while receiving the Vietnamese diplomat.

He expressed his gratitude for the assistance rendered to Angola by  Vietnam’s Party, Government and people and said he hoped that the ambassador would succeed in his work in order to promote and develop the friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two peoples.

Ambassador Nhien said that Vietnam wants to develop its ties with Angola for their mutual benefit and for peace, stability and development in the region and in the world.

He pledged to try his utmost to strengthen the two countries’ traditional relationship, particularly through the implementation of agreements that have been previously signed by the two nations./.
